From the Throne of Grace

From the throne of grace, the light is streaming,
Our Savior, Lord, lifted high and beaming.
Glory is incarnate on the altar,
Tower of strength that never falters.

Angels thronged the sky. “A king is born!”
Shepherds worshiped God, on Christmas morn.
Look! The Lamb has come to welcome all.
All who seek find him in this hall.

Wisemen journeyed far, both young and old,
Kneeling before him with gifts of gold.
Now the people come with wandering hearts,
Mercy awaits upon this hearth.

Jesus stands beside the mansion door.
Loving eyes gaze out, dispelling fear.
“All my guests are welcome. Come, draw near.”
Loving hands reach us, and we adore.
